ESAD Sneak Peek Blog Hop

Time for another ESAD Blog Hop, this time to provide a sneak peek for the new Stampin' Up! Catalogue that goes live on 2nd June.  As a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator I get to see and purchase new product before it is available for general purchase.

For the blog hop I chose to use the lovely You've Got This, a beautiful flower image, three sentiments and a really cool background stamp.  I wanted to have the focus of the card the beautiful water coloured flower, so I have left a sentiment off this card. To really make this pop I stamped and embossed the flower image on water colour paper using Versamark and gold embossing powder.  I chose Watermelon Wonder and Hello Honey to colour the flower, I just love water-colouring and I forgot how much fun it is until I went visiting another stamping friend  a couple of weeks ago.

I also stamped the background using embossing powder and fussy cut the flower, raising it on Dimensionals.  I am so happy with the way this card turned out.

Now it is time to hop on over and see what Courtney has created, and keep hopping around each blog until you get back to where you started from.

CASE-ing the Catty Blog Hop - New Catalogue Sneak Peek

I just love this week's blog hop theme - New Catalogue Sneak Peek!!! This means we will all be taking inspiration from the new Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalogue.  I love love love new catalogues, I spend hours flipping through them, and I have marked all the stamp sets and products on my wish list.  One of the great things about our catalogues is that they are absolutely jam packed with samples and creative ideas, and I love seeing the clever ways the creative minds at head office use the new stamps and accessories.

My inspiration today comes from the cute little clipboard on page 89, check it out when you get your hands on the catalogue (I'll add a link to my blog once it goes live on Tuesday 2nd June.  Instead of using the Sheltering Tree stamp set I have recreated the card using the new in-colours and the Sprinkles of Life stamp set. I LOVE this stamp set, so versatile and so cute, and best yet $3 from each stamp set sold will go to the Ronald McDonald House Charities!

Now pop over to see what sneak peek inspiration Nicole has in store.

You've Got This Butterfly

This cute and simple sketch from CASE this Sketch took my eye and gave me the chance to use another stamp set from my 2015-16 Stampin' Up! Catalogue pre-order.

For this card I used some of the beautiful new In-Colours, Watermelon Wonder, Mint Macaron, and Cucumber Crush.  I started by taking some water colour paper and wetting it with my Aqua Pen then dripping re-inkers onto it and letting them spread and bleed together.  I then cut it out with the Butterfly Framelits.  The background and sentiment are stamped using the new stamp set "You've Got This" which, in addition to this background stamp, has a lovely flower and three sentiments.

Sprinkles of Flowers

I have just been away for the annual Stampin' Up! South Pacific Convention, this year held in the Gold Coast.  I came home inspired and ready to order new stamp sets and get started, well my stamps arrived and this weekend I had the chance to have a play.

I decided this sketch from Create with Connie and Mary would be the perfect use of my new stamps.

This cute little stamp set "Sprinkles of Life" is AMAZING, not only does it come with a matching punch, but its also the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) stamp set! That's right $3 from every set goes to the RMHC for the whole year.  This set has mix and match stamps to make baskets of flowers, trees, cup cakes, ice cream cones, and has some cute little sentiments to match.  I can guarantee you will be seeing a lot more of this stamp set from me, and I think across the internet as they year progresses.  The flowers on the right panel were stamped using Perpetual Birthday Calendar stamps.

CASE-ing the Catty Blog Hop #30 - Graduation

This week at CASE-ing the Catty Blog Hop we are taking inspiration from the Graduation section of the Occasions catalogue.  This is a small section so I found it a bit of a challenge but chose to take inspiration from the invitation at the top of page 45.

I didn't want to use the theme of graduation so decided to make a fun little photo display instead.  I kept the panels similar to those in the catalogue but changed the colour scheme and added hearts instead of stars.  The photo is one of my lovely husband, and after 29 years is still my #1 Valentine!  Can you spot the new product on this project?  If you picked the DSP under the little fox you would be right, this is from the gorgeous Bohemian DSP which I am sure you will see so much more of on my upcoming projects.

Keep hopping around to see what the other design team members have created.
